An April Favorite - Trouser Shorts

Umm...I love shorts.  Some women don't - and I get it...but for some reason when the rest of my body decides to go against me...my legs stay the same.  Therefore, I enjoy showing a little leg and what better way than shorts.

In the past few years I've been disappointed by the barely there shorts.  I've never really been the person who felt like showing a little cheek was attractive...I mean if you've got it - flaunt it.  No judgment here.  However...I tend to have more conservative taste when it comes to clothes because I want to find items i can wear to many occasions without feeling out of place.

Luckily, trouser shorts are a huge hit right now in the fashion world - and I couldn't be more ready to jump on the bandwagon.

One of my favorite looks is when a designer pairs a somewhat masculine style with feminine touches that make it flirty without being over the top girly. That's why I can't wait to try on these Sass & Bide shorts.

I love the color contrast and the length of the short - just perfect.  When looking for something to pair with it I would go basic like a yellow or black tank - we definitely want the focus to be on the shorts! 

If you're looking for something a little more tame, I'm a big fan of these Ann Taylor Loft shorts.  I hate how they paired them in the photo of the shorts, but I adore the look with the blouse and blazer - so chic!

This look is definitely a NEED!  

Additionally, culottes are making a comeback!  Yay for a 90s trend - haha!  That makes me feel old!  However, by avoiding the florals and pairing the look with a chic tribal print, it's looking a bit more stylish!

Umm...can it be summer already please?  Thanks Mother Nature!
